Barn Conversion, Tea Gardens
This conversion of an existing large hardwood shed into a dwelling was challenging in a number of ways.
The existing hardwood beams had warped with age. Nothing was straight, requiring skilled carpentry to fit new roofing, cladding and internal items such as walls and a staircase.
Existing hardwood cladding was recycled in some sections and Dave used his metal working skills to fabricate new steel beam hangars to match existing.
A huge, bespoke, timber clad, rolling privacy shutter was fabricated to cover the large windows.
